Our Philosophy

CELEBRATING DIVERSITY, NURTURING INDIVIDUALITY

Gingerbread Nurseries and Playgroup vision of inclusion is to ensure that every child’s needs are met by providing an interesting, safe, secure and happy environment. Where all our children are valued as individuals and can gain a sense of self worth, achieve their full potential and can be happy and healthy through play. Children’s play will be central to everything that we do. We celebrate the beautiful cultures that make our world so vibrant. We believe in fostering a multi-cultural environment that embraces and respects every child's unique heritage and background. We warmly welcome families from all walks of life, creating an inclusive safe space where diversity is not only acknowledged but also celebrated.

Our Group

We offer a HOME AWAY FROM HOME ENVIRONment

We offer a home away from home environment in childcare and early years education for babies, toddlers and preschool aged children from 6 weeks to 4 years old. We also offer Pre-Care, After-Care and Holiday Care for children aged 4 - 8 years in some settings.

We work in partnership with parents, ensuring that they feel informed, supported and have a positive experience throughout their child’s time with us.

Working In The Community

BUILDING OUR COMMUNITY TOGETHER

At Gingerbread Nurseries and Playgroup, instilling a sense of community is at the heart of our ethos. We believe in nurturing young minds to be active participants in their communities from an early age. That's why we regularly take our little ones on walks through the village town centres, allowing them to explore and connect with their surroundings. We also organise events and collaborate with local institutions like our church, fostering bonds that go beyond the classroom. But our commitment doesn't stop there. We're proud to work alongside other local charities such as Sals Shoes, The Food Bank and Cancer Support, teaching compassion and empathy through action. Together, we're making a difference and shaping future generations to be caring, engaged members of society.
