Gingerbread Cottage Playgroup (Launde Primary School Site) is the best nursery ever my daughter has attended. Children are so nicely looked after and learn various new things. It took couple of years for us to find a nursery where my daughter was feeling very happy. Unfortunately, she only had chance to be in this nursery for a really short time but these were the best months she ever had in any nursery. My daughter was not talking much when she joined this place and 'from saying few words to start asking questions' is the journey this nursery has given to my daughter. I will forever be thankful to Mrs Mehta for taking her onboard for shorter time and making such a positive difference in building her foundation. Thank you so much Mrs Mehta and all the staff.

My son was in Gingerbread Cottage Playgroup (Launde Primary school site) and I cannot praise Mrs Mehta and her team enough. My son had a really lovely time at the playgroup and Mrs Mehta would always go above and beyond for the children. There was always an open door policy and Mrs Mehta would always engage positively with the parents and the children. It can be daunting entrusting your child with someone else, however I always felt at ease knowing Mrs Mehta and her team were taking good care of him. Mrs Mehta always made the effort to make sessions exciting for the children, and always took on board any feedback provided. She invited me to the setting to deliver a presentation to the children for Vaisakhi, which I greatly appreciated. When children are about to leave for Foundation they would receive homework to prepare them for school, which I thought was a brilliant idea. I highly recommend Gingerbread Cottage Playgroup - the staff are very hard working and Mrs Mehta's commitment to the children is evident. A big thank you to all the team.

My child has settled in really well and likes his nursery very much. All thanks to the lovely, hardworking and caring staff. The atmosphere and environment of the nursery is always very happy. Communication is regular, immediate, effective and professional. Special thanks to the head - Mrs, Mehta who has been working really hard by introducing varied activities everyday. Also a different setting using variety of resources for children to explore and play. They also give homework every week during the last month of the term before summer holidays for them to do at home which is brilliant as it is kind of preparing them before they start Foundation. Overall, Gingerbread Cottage Playgroup has a caring environment where my son is flourishing! Highly recommend - Gingerbread Cottage Playgroup!

I don’t even know where to begin, my son has been going here since he was a baby, started off in the baby room and is now in pre school preparing for “big school” come September. I cannot fault his journey at all. He has flourished!! In every single room he has gained an amazing bond with the staff members in there who without fail always gave him enough attention and would always send me updates of him all through the day so I was never left wondering if he was okay at nursery! When it is the holidays all he wants to do is go back to nursery! He loves the food they give him too, it’s fresh and is a great variety, they’ve taught him to eat so many new things! They’ve also taught him such good table etiquette and manners as he has made his way though the rooms they’ve made sure they’ve taught him traits he can carry proudly with him. Educationally he has learnt so much and comes home with such “big words”! Socially they have encouraged such great bonds and wonderful friendships. In every single room every single teacher is fantastic and I know I can approach them with any questions I may have and never be felt like I’m being a burden! Honestly we don’t know how we’re going to venture onto the next step of our sons life without the environment at Gingerbread 2 Nursery (or the food), we’re treasuring every moment and we constantly remind him to as well!

My son has been attending the nursery for some time now and the attention he receives from the nursery staff is outstanding. He comes home extremely happy and excited to tell me what he has been up to. Keyworkers will carry out activities to continually improve his and the other children’s development. They have a lot of love for each child and you can see that in the work that they do there. He has been encouraged to eat by himself and we have been supported to toilet train him. He has transitioned from class to class seamlessly and has not had any grumbles when attending the nursery. We regularly receive observations and updates on the nursery app to see how our son is doing on a day to day basis. The staff arrange trips out with the children, fun days and other events. Management of the nursery and keyworkers, are happy to listen to feedback and accept any new ideas parents may have and will implement these.

Mrs. Singh and Mrs. Bains form a power duo, providing excellent care. Special thanks to Kiri, Umaimah, and the baby room staff for helping Trisha settle in and thrive. For the last two years our daughter has attended Gingerbread Mews. Every morning she has been excited to go, never a problem, she even wants to go at weekends, so that says how much she loves it at Gingerbread Mews!
Over her time there, we have seen her grow from a shy, unsure toddler, into a confident, strong willed, intelligent (for her age) and inquisitive young girl. A lot of her development is down to the nurturing environment provided by the staff at Gingerbread Mews. Both of us parents have attended the numerous days they have where parents can drop in and see what the children get up to and how they are with their peers. After the summer, she will be leaving to attend school, we believe Gingerbread Mews have set her up perfectly to make the step up. So, thank you Miss Laura and all the staff at Gingerbread Mews for taking care of our daughter, during one of the most important times in a young child’s journey.
