Working with Parents and the wider community

  • We recognise parents as the first and the most important educators of their children. All our staff see themselves as partners with you in providing care and education for your child. There are many ways in which parents can take part in making Gingerbread a welcoming and stimulating place for your child. We regularly ask parents to take part in their children learning, such as taking parts in events, trips and sharing information.

Parents evenings

  • We hold twice yearly Parents Evening’s for all children attending Nursery, as we know it can be hard to find time to talk to your child’s key person. Therefore we organise Parents Evening’s for parents to sit down with their Childs’s Key worker and discuss their child’s development.

Mothers and Fathers weeks

  • We hold Mothers and Fathers weeks; we have now implemented these into every term. Mother and Fathers Weeks are held every term for one week each- this gives specific dates that we welcome Mothers, Grandmas, Fathers, Granddad’s etc… to come in and spend some time with their child, giving them the opportunity to see what their child gets up to on a typical day at Gingerbread.
